About us

Every Child in Need began because of our concerns about the changes to the legal framework for children in need proposed by Ministers. We are firmly convinced that these changes will preventchildren in need from getting the timely support they require.

We have already achieved important successes. The Department for Education was originally planning to bring in two of these damaging changes in December 2011, without even having a publicconsultation first. We successfully opposed this - see the letter below sent by a range of organisations and individuals calling for consultation on the proposals. At least now everyone hashad a chance to have their say through the consultation process on the revised guidance - and we intend to make sure that Ministers and officials cannot simply ignore the wide range of concernsexpressed.

We would be delighted to welcome new volunteers who would like to dedicate some of their time to the campaign. If you'd like to lend a hand, please don't hesitate to contact us.
